Mind Relaxation
Today i will be going through how to relax our minds. relaxing the mind helps you feel rested and prepared at any time. A relaxed mind is important as it helps the person in day to day activities especially when it comes to work and family.
Here are some tips that will help you relax
1. Stop All - Go to some silent place and be alone. Stop doing everything, off all lights, and any sound/flickering equipment. Close your eyes. Stop and physical movements and empty your mind.
2. Yoga Exercises - Breathing exercises helps you to relax too if you don't have time for mood changing environment. Get out, get fresh air in your lungs and release it slowly. By frequently inhaling abundance of oxygen, it helps you relax both physically and mentally.
3. Outdoor Picnic - Go on a picnic with family or friends. You will feel relaxed after picnic and a whole day of activities. Open environment with laugh and joy and having the company of your dearest ones makes you happy, fresh and energetic.
4. Play with Children - Playing with children will relax you. There are so many games you can play with them and it will help change your gloomy mood and get rid of your sorrows. The company of innocent children boost you morale.
5. Time to Yourself - Don't let your work control you - make time for yourself. If you are constantly receiving emails and phone calls from work, take evasive actions. Only answer calls from work at certain time of the day. When we allow pressure to build up, relaxation becomes difficult.
Here are some exercises that will help you relax.
Method 1 : Progressive Muscle Relaxation
First of all, the environment should be comfortable temperature-wise. There should also be no bright lights shining toward you, and try not to have noise distractions.
Step 1 : Get in a comfortable position. Sitting or lying down would be better.
Step 2 : Breathe deeply in from your nose and breath out from your mouth. Do until you feel "settled in"
Step 3 : When ready, tighten every muscle in your feet as hard as you can until it starts to hurt
Step 4 : Immediately relax all those muscle at the same time
Step 5 :Clench you shin and calf muscles tightly until they start to hurt
Step 6 : Immediately relax them.
Step 7 : Do this working your way up the entire body
Method 2 : Deep Breathing Exercise
This should be done lying on the floor or on the sofa, or if you are unable to lie down, you can do it while standing near an open window. If you want good results, it should be repeated in the morning and night.
Step 1 : Lie flat on you back
Step 2 : Relax and place your hands at your side
Step 3 : Keep your mouth closed while inhaling slowly and deeply through both nostrils, as deep as you can.
Step 4 : Hold your breath in chest for a few seconds.
Step 5 : Exhale slowly and rhythmically through both nostrils.
Step 6 : Repeat this 5 times and slowly increase to 10 as you do this more often.
By having done this exercises daily the body would be more relaxed and will feel more fresh and energized leading to a much healthier lifestyle.
